What are the odds that rocks actually fall on you when you’re driving through the Colorado mountains and see dozens of “watch for falling rock” signs? Probably pretty slim; however, after the major rockslide on Interstate 70 this morning (near Glenwood Canyon), it will probably be awhile before you scoff at those warnings again:

If you’re a news junkie like me, then this is your new homepage. SpringsReport.com offers all the current local (and state) news from various local sources.
As a frequent reader of the DrudgeReport I’ve often thought that Colorado Springs needed something similar. But I waited, and waited, and it never appeared. So… I did it myself!
Now don’t expect anything fancy. The site is intentionally simple, even minimalist, so we can focus on keeping fresh, relevant content instead of maintaining the “look.” Pictures? Nope. Fancy graphics? Nope. ALL the important headlines for Colorado Springs? THAT is what we have.
Please leave me your feedback here; I’d love to get your thoughts. Also, I’d love to have you share this site with your friends and family in the Springs area.
P.S. If you have any great local news sources or blogs that you think I should monitor for great content please leave them in the comments!
