Rock Ledge Ranch is a living history farm and museum right at the entrance to Garden of the Gods on 30th street. This past weekend was their annual Harvest Festival – admission was free (you can buy tickets for activities like hay rides and the pumpkin patch).

Volunteers dressed in period costumes gave demonstrations in blacksmithing, broom making, cooking, and rope making. I think that I would like to dress up in 1800s fashion… for a day. 🙂
Searching for candy in the haystack is waaaaaaaay more fun than searching for a needle in a haystack!
