In order to provide the best data possible, we’ve broken down El Paso County into “Logical Statistical Areas” (LSA’s). LSA’s are based primarily upon school district boundaries. Then, where applicable, secondary divisions are based on zip codes, MLS area codes, or other easily identified factors.
The goal of the LSA’s is to establish areas which meet two goals:
- They are reasonably homogeneous in terms school district and setting (urban/rural, etc.).
- They can be easily identified by the public without need for a special map (e.g. MLS areas).
The only time school districts have been combined is the Black Forest LSA (which includes portions of SD 20, 38, and 49), and the Eastern El Paso County LSA (which includes all or part of seven different school districts). Click on an area to see a description of the actual boundaries.
