Colorado Springs woke up Sunday morning to inches and inches of beautiful snow – totally unpredicted, of course. From what I’m hearing around the web, it was mostly northern Colorado Springs that got anything significant, just a few inches around the rest of town.
Snowplows and tow trucks were out in full force all day yesterday. They got the roads cleared pretty quickly, but it snowed all day so it was a never-ending job. Traffic on I-25 was moving slowly and Highway 83 was almost at a crawl. I’m sure the extra Thanksgiving traffic didn’t help.
It really is quite gorgeous, traffic delays or not. I haven’t been out yet this morning to see the mountains but I’m sure they’re amazing!
