Our first “real” snowstorm of the winter, and it’s shaping up to be a good one!
Here’s an insider tip if you’re thinking about moving to Colorado Springs: you need to think carefully before purchasing a home with a long or steep driveway. We don’t get big snowstorms often, but when we do, it can be difficult to make it up a steep driveway. Or, if you’re on the plains where it drifts or at higher altitudes where it snows more, like Black Forest or Monument, those loooooong driveways that offer a lot of seclusion can also make it more likely you’ll get snowed in – or out- for a day or two.
Or, if you need to park on a hill when it’s icy, make sure your tires are on a dry piece of ground, or you might just slide down the hill. Not that that’s ever happened to me. (It hasn’t, actually – it was Jeremy that did that!)
